In an effort to bring the best fitness experience to it’s members, the new Tyler Athletic and Swim Club joined in partnership with one of Tyler’s premier wellness experts, trainer Tony Cruz. The brand new facility is set to open it’s doors by June 1, 2017, and will service the transitioned members of the former Tyler Tennis & Swim club located on Shiloh Rd, transitioned XTC Training members, Oak Creek residents, as well as a limited number of single and family memberships for the public.
Owned and managed by Cliff Drysdale Management, the facility embodies the spirit of an “Ultimate Lifestyle Club” concept with lifestyle, fitness, family, health and wellness as the focal point and passion of the club team. In addition to the state of the art fitness center and 12 LED lighted championship hard courts, the club boasts a resort-style pool, poolside cabanas, a kids club and teen lounge, a lighted Astroturf multi-sport field, courtside firepits, and a health café and lounge.
Cruz is the Owner/Director of XTC Training, is a performance specialist, trainer and a leading presenter and motivational speaker on the subjects of physical fitness and athletic skill enhancement. For over 2 decades, Cruz has trained all fitness levels from children to young athletes to moms and dads, as well as training world-class athletes in a wide range of competitive sports including tennis, soccer, football, volleyball, track and bull riding. He has trained military personnel of the Navy SEALs, Marines and Air Force. Cruz has served in The Texas State Guard for over a decade and is currently the Commanding Officer of C-Company 3rd Medical Battalion.
“The XTC team is very experienced in all forms of sports training, so they are tailored to cater to our tennis players specific needs along with the other sports athletes at the club, states VP of Operations for Tyler Athletic & Swim Club, Scott McCulloch. “We are excited to welcome the XTC team into our Club Family and look forward serving our members to the highest standards and creating the ultimate experience for them on a daily basis.”
“We are excited to team up with Cliff Drysdale Management's Tyler Athletic & Swim Club,” states Cruz. “XTC Training will be a dynamic component of the multi-faceted lifestyle facility. Our trainers and instructors look forward to offering the highest quality of fitness to improve the mental and physical well-being of the athlete, member and community.”
