Cliff Drysdale Tennis Selected to Manage Tennis Operations at The Standard Club

Cliff Drysdale Tennis has been selected to manage tennis operations at The Standard Club, a private club located in Johns Creek, Georgia, just outside of metro Atlanta. Stewart Crerar has been named Director of Tennis, effective immediately.

Founded in 1867 with historic heritage in downtown Atlanta, The Standard Club relocated in 1987 to its current north-Atlanta address off Abbotts Bridge Rd. in Johns Creek, GA. The Standard Club offers a prestigious full-service country club lifestyle, complete with amenities at its 300 plus acres of Audubon-designated natural habitat and sanctuary location. The 18-hole championship golf course was originally designed by Arthur Hills and was redesigned in 2005 by Mike Riley and is recognized as one of the top courses in Georgia. The impressive tennis facilities feature 4 indoor air-conditioned tennis courts, 8 outdoor clay courts, and 4 outdoor hard courts.

“The Standard Club is a fantastic property that we are thrilled to partner with and help grow the tennis program,” said Scott McCulloch, Vice President of Operations for Cliff Drysdale Tennis. “We look forward to introducing a wide array of programming for all ages and abilities, and Stewart Crerar brings immense experience and talent to the helm of the program.”

“We are excited about our new partnership with Cliff Drysdale Management and are honored to welcome Stewart Crerar and his fiancé Victoria to The Standard Club family,” said Joe Langford, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of The Standard Club. “We are thrilled to expand our programming and member experiences for our current and future members!”

“The membership of the Standard Club is very excited to join into a partnership with Cliff Drysdale Tennis to manage and expand the tennis program at our club. We know that Cliff Drysdale has extensive experience working with private clubs and we know they will grow our program into one of the best in the city,” said Mark Goodman, The Standard Club President. “We have one of the best tennis facilities in the area, with our indoor and outdoor courts, and we look forward in joining with CDM to build our tennis program one our membership can be proud of.”

Originally from Scotland, Crerar has extensive tennis management and coaching experience, including his current role as Regional Director for Cliff Drysdale Tennis. An LTA certified professional, Crerar has held Director roles previously at In-Shape Health Clubs and Southern Trace Country Club. As a junior player, he was ITF world ranked and was a Scotland International representative from the ages of 12-18 years old. He was coached by Judy Murray, mother of Andy Murray, a former world No. 1.

“I’m so excited to join The Standard Club family,” said Crerar. “I’d like to thank everyone involved in the process for giving me this opportunity, and I can already feel the passion from the

members. I hope to see everyone on the court soon!”
