NICEVILLE, FL (October 16, 2018) -- The 10th Annual Bluewater Bay Pro Circuit Championships, a $15K USTA Pro Circuit event, will be contested November 2-11, 2018 at Bluewater Bay Tennis Center. Professional tennis players from around the world will compete in Niceville for prize money and valuable ATP ranking points. The tournament is managed by Cliff Drysdale Tennis.
“We’re excited for another great tournament,” said Gary Bertoldo, Tournament Director. “The level of play at this event gets better every year, and we love seeing the local community come out in force to support these incredible athletes.”
New for 2018, the Championships will host two Wild Card events with winners earning a main draw placement in the tournament. The doubles competition begins October 27th and the singles draw on October 30th. Registration is open to the public. All wild card tournament matches will also count towards player Universal Tennis Rating (UTR).
The USTA Pro Circuit serves as an important stepping stone for rising professional tennis players. Success at Pro Circuit events offers players an opportunity to rise in the rankings and compete on the ATP World Tour.
Dozens of former tournament players have gone on to compete at grand slam tournaments. Patrick Kypson(USA) won the 2017 singles tournament while Juan Manuel Benitez Chavarriaga(COL) and Julian Lenz(GER) teamed up to earn the doubles trophy.
