CDT Career Opportunities and Special Offers Available for ITA Alumni Members
New Braunfels, TX (May 14, 2019) — Cliff Drysdale Tennis and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association(ITA) are working together to offer college tennis alumni access to tennis management career opportunities and special access to Cliff Drysdale- managed events.
The ITA is the governing body of college tennis, overseeing men's and women's varsity tennis at all levels - NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and Junior/Community College. Comprised of nearly 1,200 men's and women's head coaches representing over 1,700 teams across the country from all three NCAA Divisions, as well as the NAIA and Junior and Community Colleges, the ITA oversees activities involving nearly 20,000 varsity college student-athletes.
Launched publicly May 8th, the ITA has introduced a new College Tennis Alumni Network aimed at engaging and supporting current and former college tennis players. Cliff Drysdale Tennis, who employs over 200 tennis management professionals each year, will post job openings and other career advancement opportunities on the site for Alumni Network members.
“Our mission at the ITA is to serve our membership in a variety of ways that improve the experience of the student-athlete, support their goals on and off the court, keep alumni engaged and grow the game of college tennis,” ITA President and Chief Executive Officer Timothy Russell said. “We are extremely excited to launch the Alumni Network and our expectation is that it will be another tool that helps fulfill our mission of serving the college tennis community.”
“Many of our most successful employees played college tennis and had a great experience,” said Scott Colebourne, Chief Operating Officer for Cliff Drysdale Tennis. “This was a natural fit, and we’re happy to offer college tennis alumni a career pathway in the sport that they know so well.”
