Cincinnati Tennis Club
Nestled in the heart of East Walnut Hills, Cincinnati Tennis Club was founded in 1880, just five years after tennis was introduced in America. The club is the second oldest tennis club west of the Allegheny Mountains, and is among the ten oldest clubs in the United States.
The members-only club features 10 outdoor clay courts, and a spacious club house with a large covered porch. The historic location has played host to many prominent past tournaments and is currently the home of the USTA National Father Son Clay Court Championships.
The club’s season runs from mid-April through Mid-October.
At the helm of the new program as Director of Tennis is Cliff Drysdale’s son, Greg Drysdale. Growing up amidst the courts of the Lakeway World of Tennis where his parents Cliff and Jean were resident touring pros, Greg got his start in professional coaching at the Landfall Club in Wilmington, NC which also later featured a tennis and sports complex designed by Cliff Drysdale. Greg went on to coach at the multi-award-winning Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas, TX before relocating back to Austin, TX where he worked in operations and materials management in recent years for firms such as 3M and the State of TX.
A member of a legendary tennis family, Greg adds to the legacy of CTC's tennis tradition. Greg's prior pro coaching experience includes the Landfall Club (Wilmington, NC) and award-winning Brookhaven Country Club (Dallas, TX)
